Elisabeth Webster Peplow, 89, died peacefully early in the morning on September 23, 2008.

She was born November 3, 1918 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Helen and Robert Milton Webster and was raised in the east where she attended the Quaker Friends School and was active in the Episcopal church. She came to Arizona in 1945. She was predeceased by her beloved son, Michael Peplow, in 2001. Elisabeth is survived by her daughter, Patti Peplow, and by her pre­cious grandchildren and great grandchildren, their spouses, and extended family and friends.

Elisabeth (also known as Bonnie, Bee, Betty, Nan, and Nana) was a published author of several books, including The Middle Wall and Roundup Recipes.

For over thirty years, she served as Assistant Director of the News Bureau at Ari­zona State University, where people knew her as Bonnie Peplow. She covered ASU fine arts events and interviewed celebrities as well as ASU professors for feature articles about their work in many fields.

The three most important things in Elisabeth's life were her profound belief in a loving and merciful God, her dearest family, and her passion for the fine arts, all of which she passed on to her family. She will live on in her writing, her contributions to the fine arts, and in the memory, love, and lives of her family and friends.
