M. Austin Betz, 76, passed away on June 8, 2016. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Lock Haven State Teachers College and a Masters from Penn State University, Master of Arts from Brown University, Master of Arts in Math & Statistics from the University of Illinois, followed by his Doctorate from the University of Illinois. He joined ASU in 1974 and retired in 1999 as Professor Emeritus in the College of Education. He was preceded in death by two sisters. Surviving him is an aunt and two cousins.
