Afton Larola McGrath Miner, 83, passed away on September 8, 2016. She attended Eastern Arizona Junior College and ASU where she graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. Afton taught elementary school in Chandler Arizona, Lancaster California and Duncan Arizona. She then returned to school and completed her Masters in Library Science at University of California, Berkeley. She worked as a librarian at Tempe High School, ASU and BYU. Afton is survived by a sister, brother, seven step children, 34 grandchildren 120 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers , a sister and three great grandchildren.
