William W. Wootten, 89, died November 22, 2014. He enlisted in the US Navy after high school and served both in World War II and the Korean conflict. Educated at the University of Chicago, the University of Iowa, and the University of Minnesota, Bill taught history at ASU for over 35 years before his retirement in 1994. Bill was an ASURA office staff volunteer from 2011-2013. He is survived by his wife, Ruth, a son, daughter, three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Services will be held at University Lutheran Church, 340 E. 15th St., Tempe at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 26. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to University Lutheran Church. (Source: Arizona Republic)
