William J. Kelley, 91, passed away on June 13, 2012. Bill attended ASU on an athletic scholarship. He proudly served in the Army during WWII with the 90th division. He landed on Utah Beach, Normandy on D-Day and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. Upon his return he met Patricia L. Gibbons at ASU who was his wife and partner for 65 years. Patty volunteered for ASURA checking the newspaper for ASU related obituaries. Bill worked for Scottsdale Public Schools for 34 years as a teacher, coach, high school administrator and district athletic director. Bill is survived by his wife Patty, two daughters, four grandchildren, one great grandson , three siblings and numerous nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents and three siblings.
