Wayne Doran

Wayne earned a bachelor's degree at Arizona State University.

He was a trustee of the Urban Land Institute, which honored him in 2006 with a Lifetime Achievement Award.  Additionally, he served on the boards of the Arizona State University Foundation, National Realty Committee, Barrow Neurological Institute, Arizona State University Research Park, and the PGA Tour. 

Arizona State University inducted him into the Business School Hall of Fame in 1977 and named him an Outstanding Alumnus in 1978.  In 1997, Mr. Doran created The Doran Community Scholars Program which provided scholarships to over 200 students at ASU. Mr. Doran was a varsity baseball star at Arizona State University and a lifelong golfer.

Mr. Doran received the Distinguished Leader Award from the University of Michigan in 1998; and in 2007, he received the Distinguished Citizen Award from the Congressional Medal of Honor Society.  

Mr. Doran is survived by his wife, Maureen, his three children and three grandchildren.  Mr. Doran was proceeded in death by a daughter and a grandson.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, Feb. 17 at The Church of the Divine Child, Dearborn, MI.
