Tom Handy, 62, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away May 1, 2006. Tom was an incredible man who loved his wife, family and friends as much as life itself. He was born April 28, 1944, in Benton Harbor, Michigan, where he grew up working in the family well drilling business. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and was a member of the Mesa American Legion Post 26, Tempe Elks #2251 and Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 1137. A graduate of Eastern Michigan University, Tom worked for Gast Manufacturing in Benton Harbor, before moving with his family to Arizona in 1984. He was an Area Supervisor for Facilities Management at ASU prior to his medical leave in 2001. He is survived by his wife, Joyce; two sons, Christopher of Seattle, Washington and Patrick of Redford, Michigan; and his daughter Leanne of Long Beach, California. He also leaves behind his sister, Chris Palma and her family of St. Joseph, Michigan. Tom was a member of King of Glory Lutheran Church, 2085 E. Southern Ave., Tempe were there will be a memorial service at 11:00 am, Friday, May 5th in celebration of Tom's life.
