Thomas F. Fay
Senior Development Officer, Herberger College of Fine Arts
Thomas F. Fay, 75, passed away on January 1, 2016. His education included an undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Potsdam, followed by military service with the Army for the US Military Academy Band at West Point, after which he earned a graduate degree from Yale University School of Music. Tom’s professional career began with the Pittsburgh Symphony where he played second oboe for 17 years, eventually moving into management with the Houston Symphony. He then made a transition into fundraising, first in Milwaukee and later at ASU where he was Senior Development Officer at Herberger College of Fine Arts. When he moved to Omaha, he worked briefly for the College of St. Mary until illness necessitated his retirement. His service will be at 3 p.m. on January 10, 2016, at the Holland Performing Arts Center in Omaha, Nebraska. He was preceded in death by two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Joan H. Squires, three children, four grandchildren, two brothers and a sister.
