Thelma Faulkner

Thelma Ray “T-Ray” Faulkner, 84, passed away June 9, 2016. She earned a BA at Oklahoma College for Women, and a Master’s and PhD in Dance at Texas Women's University.  Her career began in outdoor education, included stints in elementary school, and teaching modern dance at two Midwestern universities, the University of Oregon and ASU. At Perry Mansfield Performing Arts School and Camp in Colorado, she began as assistant to the director and served in various capacities through retirement. She also worked in real estate, and in language arts before retiring in 1996. She is a member of University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma's Alumni Hall of Fame, recipient of a National Dance Association Plaudit Award (1982), and in 1999, was praised for Outstanding Volunteer Service by Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association.
