Dr. Sylvia A. Silva, 79, passed away on August 11, 2016. She administered many educational equity programs for over 20 years at CSU, Chico and continued this practice of educational service for five years at the ASU-West Campus where she retired as Associate Vice-Provost and Dean of Students in 2000. Sylvia is survived by five children, three granddaughters, a number of great -grandchildren, a foster daughter, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a second ex-husband, Aldo Romano and his three children. Sylvia is preceded in death by all her siblings.
