Susan Soto, 53, passed away on December 11, 2011. Susan earned a BS degree in Marketing from W.P. Carey School of Business, ASU, and a Masters in Educational Media & Computers also from ASU. Susan began working at ASU in 1991 as an advertising specialist. Her role grew to include public relations and special events. She oversaw development and management of the station’s Emmy award-winning website and launched Eight early into social media via Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. She received four Rocky Mountain Emmy Awards between 2003 and 2011. When she left ASU in 2011 she was a Broadcast Promotion & Advertising Specialist Senior. At the time of her death, she was employed at Childplay, Inc., in Tempe, as a Media Specialist. She is survived by her brothers.
