Stanford Paul Singer, 77, passed away on June 10, 2016. Born and raised in Evansville, IN, he was an alumni and former teacher at Mater Dei High School. He received his BA from U of Evansville ('63), his MA from Indiana University ('67) and his Ph.D. from UCLA ('87). He taught at UCLA, ASU, Cal State SB and E. Tennessee State. He lived the last 30 years in Phoenix, AZ. He is survived by his wife, Lenna DeMarco, four children, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stan Singer Excellence in Writing Award Endowment at Mater Dei High School in Evansville, Ind.
