Sheryl Lynn Gordon worked for many years in higher education, working at Western Missouri University, the Monterrey Institute for Language, Arts and Culture, and she finished her career with the ASU West Valley campus.

She was preceded in death by her parents Goldie Casper and Marvin Black, and her dear sister.

Sheryl also leaves behind her great grandson, future son-in-law, a niece, two nephews, her husband Lee Gordon, his stepchildren, and brother-in-law.
