Shahrokh Hashemi-Yeganeh
Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering
Shahrokh immigrated to America in 1977 to pursue his education, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree, as well as a Master of Science Degree, and later became a Doctor of Philosophy through the University of California, Los Angles.
His career included an assistant professorship, Department of Electrical Engineering at Arizona State University, and later senior positions with Hughes, Raytheon, and ThinKom Solutions in California.
As a research consultant and an Electromagnetic Engineer, he enjoyed the challenge of creating innovative, state-of-the-art antenna designs. His work earned him various patents, an R. W. P. King Prize Paper Award, and was cited in many professional journals, as well as a listing as a noteworthy Electrical Engineering Educator by Marquis Whos Who. Shahrokh enjoyed biking, jazz music, downhill skiing, and was an avid ballroom dancer.
He also loved spending time researching alternative health methods, and was passionate about developing unique, out-of the-box solutions for everyday problems.
He is survived by his loving wife, Michelle; three sisters: and many other family and friends.
