Ronald M. Guilliams

Ronald M. Guilliams, 77, passed away on November 14, 2016. Ron attended junior college in Scottsbluff, Nebraska before enlisting in the U.S. Navy in 1958. During his four-year tour of duty, he traveled around South America as a Naval photographer. Following his time in the service, he completed three years at Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, CA. Ron worked as a photographer in Glendora, California, and then in Santa Cruz. Later, he was transferred to work as the photographer at Ft. Leonard Wood Army Base in Missouri. In 1979 Ron opened his own photo studio— Guilliams Photography—in Rolla, MO. In 1986 the family moved to Arizona, where Ron worked as a photographer at first and later transitioned into working at the Foundation at ASU. In 2005 Ron returned to the Midwest where he worked at the Foundation at Missouri State University. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, a daughter, a son, three grandchildren and a sister. He is preceded in death by a brother.
