Robert “Bob" McElwain, 92, passed away on August 28, 2015. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII as a radio operator on a B29 in the Pacific Theater. Bob retired from Sponsored Projects at ASU and was a member of ASURA. He was preceded in death by four siblings; his wife, Louise, and a son. He is survived by his wife, Gladys, two children, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A celebration of his life was held onSeptember 2 at Bueler Mortuary in Chandler. Memorials may be made in his memory to Chandler United Methodist Church, Chandler, AZ.
