Robert "Bob" K. Hess III, 65, passed away July 1, 2016. Bob earned degrees from U.G.A. with Bachelors in History and Masters in Sociology and received a PhD in Reading from University of South Carolina. Bob had a career in Higher Education at Governors State University, Illinois and at ASU, where he taught in the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College. He came to ASU in 1990 and retired as Professor Emeritus in 2007. He is survived by his wife, Susan, three children, five grandchildren, a sister and numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by a brother.
