Robert "Doc" Haygood, 84, passed away on Jan. 10, 2011. A Tribute Jam session will be held for him at Scottsdale, Post 44 American Legion from 1:00-5:00 pm (date not given). Bob served in the U.S. Air Force Bands around the world for four years, after which he completed his education leading to a PhD in Human Factors Psychology. He worked briefly in the Aerospace Industry in CA before teaching at Universities: Kansas State, Long Beach State, and ASU. When he moved to Scottsdale in 1970, and outside of his University duties, Bob resumed playing piano with several local bands, as well as solo jobs. On retirement from ASU in 1997, Bob continued playing in the local jazz scene. He is predeceased by his parents and three brothers. He is survived by his wife, Danielle (nee Hagerty), three sons, four grandchildren and eight nieces and nephews.
