Robert Burdette Ackerman graduated from Denby High School and served in the 3rd Army during the Korean War. He then worked full-time while pursuing and achieving a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.

Bob had a successful career in Labor Relations and Compensation for Chrysler, UHaul, and Arizona State University.

He enjoyed just being at home and spending time with his family and friends. In addition, Bob was an avid reader, with 1,110 books checked off his list during his retirement.
