Dr. Richard Glenn Lentz, 69, passed away June 9, 2011. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2011, in Corum Cemetery, Lexington, Ala. He joined the Navy in 1960 and served aboard the USS Forrestal and the USS Kitty Hawk. After his naval service, he graduated from Florence State College with a bachelor's degree in 1967, the Southern Illinois University with a master's degree in 1976 and the University of Iowa with a Ph.D in 1983. Dr. Lentz was a professor at Middle Tennessee State University, the University of Iowa, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, the California State University-Fullerton and ASU. Dr. Lentz was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings. He is survived by three siblings plus several nieces and nephews.
