Richard Knopf is professor emeritus with the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions. In 1986, he joined ASU as a charter faculty member of ASU West, serving there 12 years in a variety of faculty and administrative roles. In 1998, he relocated to the Downtown Phoenix campus as professor of Community Development. In 2023, Richard retired with 37 years of service to ASU. Richard's “ASU point of pride” is overseeing the creation and growth of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, connecting over 2500 older adults to the ASU community.
