Paul Clement Kemp, 83, died July 26, 2014. Paul received a BA from the University of Iowa in 1954 and MA in 1956. He served two years in the Army while stationed in Fort Benning, Georgia and Fort Carson, Colorado. Paul coached football, basketball and baseball at North Dakota State Teachers College and Ball State University early in his coaching career and then coached football atASU, Iowa State University, University of Pittsburgh, Boston University, and returned to coach at the University of Iowa 1977-79. He was also a pro football scout for the Atlanta Falcons for one year. He moved to Fort Myers, Florida for four years, returned to Iowa City, his alma mater, for the next 31 years until moving to Lexington, Kentucky for his final seven months of life. Survivors include three daughters, nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five siblings. Services and burial will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church, Iowa City, Iowa on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the University of Iowa Foundation Scholarship Fund, PO Box 4550, Iowa City, Iowa 52244-4550 in the name of Paul Kemp.
