Owen Ardell Wollam, 87, ASU Emeritus Professor, Department of Languages and Literatures, passed away March 8, 2015.  He graduated with his BA in French from University of Montana, taught on the Blackfoot Reservation, attended Middlebury College Intensive, taught in France, and received his MA and PhD from University of Washington. Owen and his wife, DonnaKaye, moved to Tempe in 1962 when he took a professorship at ASU. He helped expand the French Section and Foreign Language Department until his retirement in 1992. He is survived by two cousins and two sons. A memorial will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015, at 2pm in Skirm Auditorium at Friendship Village, 2645 E. Southern Ave., Tempe, AZ.
