Owen Wenger Morgan
Dr. Owen Wenger Morgan, 80, died on December 28, 2011. He was an ASU faculty member from 1968 to 1999. During his tenure, nearly 100,000 students passed through his classes and he was popularly known on campus as "O.M.". He attended Grinnell College. After Army services in the Pacific during World War II, Owen resumed his education at Grinnell and went on to earn a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Nebraska. He spent two additional years in advanced specialization in family relationships and human development at the Merrill-Palmer Institute in Detroit. During his teaching career, he served on the faculties of Oklahoma State University, the Merrill-Palmer Institute, Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena, CA, and ASU. He retired at age 77. Owen was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Marifloyd, a son, two daughters and four grandchildren.
