Minutes for October 12, 2021
The proposed budget was approved. An outside review of the financial status of ASURA demonstrated that the organization is in a sound fiscal state. The Scholarship Committee has an approved budget of $10.000 and will begin soliciting applications. The Holiday Picnic will be held at Papago Park on December 9, 2021. The Pre-retirement seminars are scheduled and have been well attended. The ASURA seminars are set for spring 2022 and include the following topics: downsizing, telling your story, affordable senior housing, and brain health. The Video History Project received the AROHE award for innovation. There are several vacancies in chair positions and all board members are encouraged to volunteer or contact members to generate interest in serving.
