Mary Louise Owens, passed away March 10, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry V. Owens Sr. and a son. She is survived by a sister, a brother, son and three grandchildren. Mary's parents were early settlers to Tempe. Mary's grandfather Dr. Greg was the first doctor in Tempe. Mary was a native of Tempe, Arizona. She attended Arizona Normal School (the predecessor of ASU) where she was a tennis instructor; she received a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education. There will be a Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. Friday March 15th at Carr-Tenney Mortuary 2621 S. Rural Rd. Tempe.
