Mary Elizabeth George

Grounds Maintenance - Retired 2013

Mary George

Mary relocated from Buffalo, NY to Phoenix, Arizona, in 1973, shortly after the rest of her family. After working as a waitress for several years,

Mary obtained a job at Arizona State University in grounds maintenance as a horticulturist, where she retired in 2013.

Mary was a free spirit who loved nothing more than sharing good times with good people. Spending quality time with family and friends and bringing people together were her biggest passions. She was a flower child with a huge heart, an independent spirit, a free thinker, a goofball, a firecracker. She was a smart and beautiful woman, with a love for music, nature, people, and partying.

Mary is survived by her son and her three grandchildren as well as countless friends and family she touched throughout her life.
