Marvin Edwards
Professor, Electronic Technology Dept.
Marvin Edwards, 95, died December 22, 2016. He worked for the CCC, building cabins and surveying power lines around Kingman, Arizona. In 1941, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps and rose in the ranks to Master Sergeant. During WWII, he maintained radio and radar electronics on B24s. After the war, he attended college and worked as a broadcast engineer at radio station KRUX. Later, he worked as an engineer at the CBS station's South Mountain tower complex. After graduating from ASU, he became a professor in the radio and television technology department at ASU, which became the Electronic Technology Department. He retired from ASU in 1989. Marvin is survived by his wife, Francelle, three sons, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
