Madelyn Wright began working for Arizona State University in 1953. She retired in 1989. She helped bring the ASU Retirees Association into being, served on the first elected ASURA Board of Directors, and was the first elected Treasurer. She has been active in the association ever since, serving on the Adopt-a-Family committee, as a member of the Board of Directors twice, and as Vice President, President (1997-1998), and Past President.
For many years, Madelyn served as ASU's assistant registrar. Later she headed the Academic Scheduling Office. During her presidency of the ASURA, the Board established the endowed Scholarship Fund.
Madelyn was interviewed by ASURA's Video History project team on November 15, 2010. A short clip from the interview is available for on-line viewing.
