Leonardo Chappelle

Chap was a Graduate of Virginia Union University class of 1957, also a Member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Gamma Chapter. He went on to obtain his J.D. from Howard University Law School.

During his retirement in Phoenix, because of his love for jazz music, he taught a music appreciation class for several years at Arizona State University.

Chap then began to forge a career in practicing law, local government, and private sector which spanned four decades.  

Chap is survived by his fiance, Valeta E. Sutton, his son, a granddaughter and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
