LaVerde Johnson Gunter,92, passed away on April 15, 2012. She worked as an officer of the ASU police department for 17 years before retiring. LaVerde was predeceased by three husbands, four siblings and her oldest daughter. She is survived by two daughters, a son, nine grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
