Kumen Hurst Jones, 69, died January 3, 2016. He studied at Brigham Young University. After serving in the United States Army he moved to Idaho to finish his MBA. Later he and the family moved to Mesa, Arizona where he tried his hand at several things, but finally found his home at ASU where he taught until they returned to Utah. There he built a second career with The Ascent Companies. Kumen is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Jones, six children, 21 grandchildren, four siblings plus numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister.
