Kristin Bervig Valentine received her BA from the University of Wisconsin, MA from the University of Washington and PhD from the University of Utah.

Kristin leaves an enduring legacy as a professor of communication and women's studies at Arizona State University.  

Kristin was a professor at the University of Kentucky, and they lived in Thessaloniki, Greece. 

Kristin is preceded in death by her daughter and husband. 

She is survived by her son-in-law and her devoted students, friends and colleagues.
