Karen Fry Hammann served on ASU's staff for 36 years.  For the first 11 years she provided staff support to University Registrar. For the next 11 years she served in the Tempe Provost's Office. She was then recruited to the ASU East Campus to assist the campus Provost. Four years later she returned to the Tempe Provost’s office. In 2007 Karen returned to the ASU Polytechnic campus to provide staff support for various administrators until retiring in 2012. During her career, Karen was honored with the 1985 ASU Employee of the Year award for Area 1 and, in 1991, with the ASU Award of Merit.
