Justin L. Capin
Instructor - Foreign Languages
Justin L. Capin received a BA from Stanford University, California in 1951. Upon graduation he enlisted in the US Army and served as driver/interpreter for American Army officers behind the 'Iron Curtain' as part of the US Military Liaison Mission to the Commander-in-Chief of the Soviet Army in East Germany. After Honorable Discharge he received grants/scholarships to study at Indiana Univ, Northwestern Univ, Moscow State Univ, Moscow, USSR, and the Goethe Institute in Germany. He was a Spanish, Russian and German languages teacher for 17 years and a librarian for 10 years in the Glendale Union High School District. He also taught foreign languages for 30 years at Phoenix College evening division and 3 summers at ASU. Justin was predeceased by his three siblings. He is survived by his wife Emily, step-daughter and two grandsons. |
