Joy Rasmussen, 72, passed away on March 15, 2015. Joy moved to Arizona in 1976 and earned a Bachelor's of Science degree (Magna Cum Laude) in Social Work and later a Master's Degree (also Magna Cum Laude) in Social Work, with a certificate in Gerontology. Joy used this expertise to work for such organizations as the Foundation for Senior Living, Hospice of the Valley and the Alzheimer's Association. She also worked as an adjunct faculty member in the School of Social Work at ASU for many years. Joy is survived by her husband, Richard, a  daughter, two grandchildren, and other relatives. There was a Celebration of Joy's Life on Saturday, March 28, at the Shea home in Goldfield Ranch, followed by a short service of remembrance.
