Dr. John Konopka earned his Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate in Operations Research at Arizona State University.

John was passionate about his work in Supply Chain Optimization and had a successful 35-year career at IBM retiring in 2017. He was respected by colleagues and friends alike and would go on to teach in the Department of Supply Chain Management at his alma mater ASU, W.P. Carey School of Business.

John was predeceased by his Mom, Dad, and sister. John is survived by his wife, Dena; his two wonderful daughters; his uncles, and numerous other family members and friends.

 A funeral service held on April 7 at the St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church and followed by a graveside service at Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
