John Miles Abel

Custodian

John Abel

John worked as an electrician, machinist, butcher, and ended with working as a custodian at Arizona State University before becoming ill and having to retire. John did the most selfless thing a man could, by serving his country in The United States Army. He was also a Vietnam veteran.

In his later years, John loved spending time with his family especially his wife, Sandra. He has a fun sense of humor and you were never a stranger to him. He will be missed by everyone he leaves behind.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Esther; a sister and a brother. He is survived by a loving family: his wife; Sandra (Shoemake) Abel, a son; two sisters; two grandchildren; two sisters-in-law and husbands  sister-in-law; as well as numerous family and friends he leaves behind.
