Joan L. Harris, 89, died January 6, 2020.  From 1949 to 1956, she worked at Arlington Hall, which was the precursor to the National Security Agency, as a code breaker during the Cold War. She also worked for ASU for 17 years as a graduate admission advisor. She retired from Houston Baptist University as an advisor in the early 1990s. Joan was preceded in death by her daughter and a sister. Survivors include a nephew and a niece. Graveside services for Joan were at Smith Cemetery in Kempner, TX.
