Jo began her career at ASU's West Valley campus in 1990 and retired from there in May 2006 as Associate Vice Provost of Student Affairs and Dean of Students.  She considers her employment and association with ASU, especially the West campus, the highlight of her career.  Jo holds a baccalaureate degree in history from Villa Madonna College in Kentucky and completed a M.A. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and additional graduate work at ASU in Higher Education Administration.

Jo and her husband Matt ride motorcycles, often traveling for weeks at a time on the open roads of the west.  Jo also returns to Kentucky several times a year to visit her large extended family and friends.  She enjoys live theatre and movies, is a fan of baseball, and especially thrives in her role as a grandma.
