Travel Committee 2019 - 2024

Sumbitted December 2022

Jeff Bush is originally from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada and taught music education in the ASU School of Music from 1997-2012, having traded the bitter cold of Saskatchewan for the bitter heat of Arizona. As his PhD is from the University of Arizona, he always has the correct tee shirt to wear after the annual Territorial Bowl game.

From 2012 until 2018, Jeff was the Director of the School of Music at James Madison University (JMU) in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. In late 2018, he took over the Acting Dean position for the JMU College of Visual and Performing Arts. Jeff - with spouse Candace and their four Shelties – retired in 2019 and moved back to Arizona, settling in Sedona. He is a volunteer for the Red Rock State Park, the Red Rocks Music Festival, and occasionally teaches arts courses at the Oster Lifelong Learning Institute.

Jeff joined the ASURA Travel Committee in 2019 and has enjoyed working and reconnecting with ASU friends and colleagues. Jeff would be honored to expand his service contributions if selected to sit on the ASURA Board of Directors.
