Jay Q. Butler is a Professor Emeritus of Real Estate.  He began his tenure at ASU in 1972 and retired in 2011 as an associate professor of real estate and held the Arizona Realtors Professorship in Real Estate. Jay earned B.B.A.(1967) and MBA (1969) from the University of New Mexico and his Ph.D. from the University of Washington (1975). A fundamental activity while at ASU was to manage projects that examine all aspects of the Arizona real estate market, with specific interest in the Phoenix metropolitan area.
