Janet M. (Bott) Murphy\ worked as a secretary to the president of Giddings and Lewis, and later worked as a secretary at Arizona State University and Crystal Lake South High School.

Janet is survived by her two sons, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a brother, two brothers in law, a sister in law and a vast amount of close friends and relatives.

Janet was gifted in music, playing the accordion and piano by ear. She loved knitting, counted cross stitch, gardening, playing cards, and her lake views. Janet had an eye for decorating, especially with flowers. She was an adventurous family travel organizer all her life, visiting 48 of the 50 states and Canada. Being a sports enthusiast, she rarely missed Packers, Brewers, Bucks, or Badgers games.

A memorial service was held on January 23, 2023.
