James Nigg
Programmer Department
James Nigg graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1966. He went onto Fresno City College and ultimately Fresno State where he got his Bachelor's Degree and teaching credential in Industrial Arts graduating in 1973. Jim began his career teaching middle school in Los Angeles. After a few years, he moved to Arizona, where he worked as a programmer for Arizona State University. Later, he returned to Fresno and worked as a programmer for Fresno County. Jim later returned to teaching, where he taught elementary school in Fresno before retiring in 2011. During retirement, Jim enjoyed spending time with his daughters, riding his Harley with his brothers and catching reruns of Murder She Wrote. Jim had an incredible sense of humor with an infectious laugh, a generous spirit, and an immense love for researching various topics and sharing his findings with loved ones. A kinder person we will never know. Jim leaves behind his two daughters Jim also leaves behind his sister-in-law; brother and wife; three sisters and their husbands, as well as many nieces and nephews, and his faithful canine companion, Franklin. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Madge Nigg, and a brother. A celebration of life was held on August 27, 2023. |
