James W. Ney, 84, passed away on May 30, 2017. Jim earned an M.A. in Theology from Wheaton college and the Ed.D. in English Language and Literature from the University of Michigan.  He had a long and productive faculty career, retiring from the English Department at ASU as Professor Emeritus. He was internationally known in the field of TESOL (Teaching English as a Second Language). Jim is survived by his wife, Marie, a daughter, two sons, two grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters. He was preceded in death by a brother. Memorial services will be June 12, 2017, 10 a.m. at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd., Scottsdale. (Source: Cheryl Ney)
