James M. Casey, 98, passed away on September 25, 2017. James attended the University of Nebraska nearly completing an engineering degree then served in the Army for over three years in WWII as a Staff Sergeant. He received the Purple Heart for sustaining injuries in the Battle of the Bulge, two Bronze Stars as well as several other citations and medals. James was employed at ASU for over 19 years. He leaves his wife, Shirley Casey, a daughter, two sons, two grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three daughters and three siblings. A grave side ceremony will be held at a later date. Donations will be accepted either at The Hospice of the Valley, or the VFW in Tempe, Arizona.
