Jacqueline Ruth (Jackie) Isabell, 73, passed away on March 10, 2010. Jackie graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in nursing. After relocating to Arizona in the 1960's she was employed as a nurse and instructor at Good Samaritan and St. Joseph hospitals. She continued her education at Western State College of Colorado and ASU, and then became a research librarian in medical arts at ASU, from where she retired. She was well known as a successful breeder of Weimaraner dogs and co-author with Virginia Alexander of the definitive book on the breed, Weimaraner Ways. She also authored Genetics for Dog Breeders and The King's Cuisine - Selected Recipes of Joseph Cooper, Chef to Charles II. She is survived by her husband, W Tom Isabell, and a niece.
