Irva Lucille Whipple attended Lamson Business College. She then worked under then ASU President G. Homer Durham as his personal secretary.

She was preceded in death by Fred M. Whipple, her parents Earl, Goldie and Violet Reeves and a sibling. 

She is survived by her five children, 19 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Funeral Services were held on October 11, 2024.
