Howard J. Sullivan, 85, passed away November 20, 2016. He earned his doctorate at the University of Oregon. Dr. Sullivan taught at ASU's College of Education from 1971 to 2006, retiring at age 75. He was nationally known for mentoring the top master's and doctoral students in the field of educational technology. When he received ASU's top Mentor Award in 2002, it was said that he was responsible for more than 100 Ph.Ds. He was co-owner of Arcadia Farms Cafe with his wife, Carolyn Ellis-Sullivan. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Ellis-Sullivan, three children, two grandchildren and a sister.
