Herbert Verner Johnson, 88, passed away on June 30, 2013. Johnson served his country during World War II in the Army. In 1957 he moved his family to Arizona where he spent the rest of his life. Herb worked most of his life as a mechanical engineer. His last and favorite job was working for ASU as a mechanical designer in the Planning and Construction Department. Herb was predeceased by his wife, Doris, by only two weeks. He is survived by a daughter, a son, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 9:30AM, Friday, July 12, 2013, Hansen Chapel, 8314 N. 7th St., Phoenix.
